1. Introduction and Purpose

At MORATUS we place great importance on the privacy and data security of users visiting moratus.ai. This policy has been prepared to explain the cookies and similar technologies used across our site and products.

For the general principles on how personal data is processed, see: Privacy Policy

For the terms governing use of the Services, see: Terms of Use

2. What Is a Cookie?

Cookies are small text files saved to your computer, tablet or mobile device when you visit a website. They remember preferences related to your visit (such as language selection or session information) and help provide a more consistent experience on your next visit. Cookies also help a site run more efficiently and give site owners analytics about how it is used.

3. Why Do We Use Cookies?

Core functionality:
For secure browsing, signing in to the app, keeping your session and storing your cookie preferences.
Security:
To distinguish bot traffic and prevent abuse.
Remembering preferences:
To keep your language and theme preferences between visits; your browser's local storage is used for this instead of cookies.
Site measurement:
To measure how the site is used, in aggregate, with an analytics tool that does not use cookies or device identifiers.

We currently do not use cookies for advertising, retargeting or profiling.

4. Cookie Types and Sources

Our site may use both first-party cookies (placed directly by us) and third-party cookies (placed by providers we work with). By duration they fall into two groups:

Session cookies:
Stored only for the duration of your visit and deleted when you close your browser.
Persistent cookies:
Remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them.

By function, we classify cookies into the four categories below.

5. Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are required for our site and app to run securely and perform their core functions, such as session management, security measures and storing your cookie preferences. They are used to perform our service contract and for our legitimate interest (KVKK art.5/2-c and 5/2-f), so your consent is not requested and they cannot be turned off. If you block them in your browser, the site and app may not work properly.

6. Functional Cookies

This category covers cookies that personalise your experience by remembering your preferences. We currently do not use functional cookies: your language and theme preferences are kept, at your choice, in your browser's local storage and are not sent to our servers. If we use functional cookies in the future, they will run only with the consent you give in the cookie panel.

7. Analytics and Performance Measurement

We measure the use of our site and app with Cloudflare Web Analytics. This tool does not use cookies, does not write any identifier to your browser or device and does not track you across sites. Information such as the page visited, referring page, browser type, approximate country and page load times is reported only as aggregated statistics.

Because it does not require access to your device, this measurement runs independently of your cookie preferences, based on our legitimate interest in monitoring and improving site performance (KVKK art.5/2-f). We currently do not use analytics cookies; if we start, we will run them only with the explicit consent you give in the cookie panel.

8. Marketing and Targeting Cookies

We currently do not use marketing, advertising or retargeting cookies, and we do not allow advertising partners to place cookies through our site. If we start using them, we will update this policy and run them only with the explicit consent you give in the cookie panel.

9. List of Cookies Used

The table below lists the cookies used on our site and in our app, with their providers, purposes and retention periods. The list is updated as the tools we use change.

We currently do not use cookies in the analytics, functional or marketing categories. If we start, we will update this table and ask for your preference again in the cookie panel.

10. How to Manage Your Cookie Preferences

You can change your preferences at any time from the cookie panel shown on your first visit, or from the “Manage cookies” link in the page footer. In that panel you can enable or disable every cookie category except the strictly necessary ones. Withdrawing your consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

You can also refuse or delete cookies from your browser settings. Instructions for your browser are available at the links below:

Please note that blocking all cookies through your browser may cause some features on our site to stop working properly.

11. Similar Technologies

Besides cookies, other technologies with similar functions may be used. They are also subject to the consent rules in this policy:

Local storage (localStorage / sessionStorage):
Used to keep the preferences you choose, such as language and theme, and interface state in your browser; its contents are not sent to our servers automatically. The keys used are listed in the table above.
Cookieless analytics:
Cloudflare Web Analytics uses a small script that sends aggregated measurement data when a page loads and writes no data to your device.
Pixels, tracking tags and SDKs:
We currently do not use pixels, tracking tags or third-party SDKs for advertising or tracking. If we start, we will run them only with your consent.

12. Policy Updates

We may update this Cookie Policy as the technologies we use or the law change. The current version is published on this page and the “Last updated” date at the top is revised. When we start using a new consent-based cookie category or tool, it will run only with the consent you give again in the cookie panel.
