Adding files
- Drag and drop the file onto the composer.
- Pick it from your computer with Add > Add files or images.
- Add files you uploaded or generated earlier to the chat with Add > Add from Library (see Library).
- The same file cannot be added twice.
By file type
- Images: The content and any text in the image are understood (see Media analysis).
- PDF: The document is turned into readable context and analyzed.
- Audio: Transcripts, summaries, and decisions and action items are extracted; 1 credit per minute.
- Video: Scenes, speech, and on-screen text are extracted with timestamps; 1 credit per 30 seconds.
- The duration limit for audio and video files depends on your plan (see Access by plan).
The content of attached files fills the context window; for long documents, attaching only the relevant parts keeps you under the limit (see Context window).
