Chat and Composer
Use a side chat to ask a quick question, clarify a detail, or get a second opinion without interrupting the main chat. A side chat opens as a separate chat next to the main one, and the main chat can keep going in the meantime.
Two ways to open a side chat
- By selecting text: Select text in a response and choose Ask in Side Panel from the menu that appears; the part you selected moves into the side chat. Ask MORATUS adds the selection to your next message in the main chat instead.
- From the side panel: Open the side panel and click Start side chat. The side panel also holds Files, Library, and Sources.

- The question and answer in the side chat don't mix into the main chat; the main chat's flow stays intact.
- You can keep asking in the side chat while a response is being generated in the main chat.
- With Files, Library, and Sources in the side panel, you can reach files and the sources used in responses without leaving the chat.
Example scenario
- While working on a long report in the main chat, you don't understand a term in a response.
- You select the term and choose Ask in Side Panel; the term moves into a side chat.
- You get the explanation in the side chat; meanwhile, the report work in the main chat continues and its flow stays intact.
