Models and Reasoning
In MORATUS you choose a service tier instead of a model. Each tier is backed by models from different providers; the agent, tools, and product experience stay the same whichever tier you use.
| Tier | Use case | Plans | Platform |
|---|---|---|---|
| Auto | MORATUS picks the right tier for each step. | Plus, Max (default) | Web, Desktop, Mobile |
| Fast | Everyday questions, writing, summarizing, and quick tasks. | All plans | Web, Desktop, Mobile |
| Expert | Complex analysis, coding, and long-running work. | Plus, Max | Web, Desktop, Mobile |
| Apex | The toughest planning and multi-step work. | Plus, Max | Desktop |
Which tier should I choose?
- Auto: When you're not sure which tier fits. MORATUS decides the tier for each step of the work. Desktop On Desktop, the work runs on Expert and planning runs on Apex (see Brain and worker architecture).
- Fast: Everyday work where short answers and low latency matter most.
- Expert: Analysis that combines several sources, coding, and long-running work.
- Desktop Apex: Multi-step work that needs the most demanding planning.
By plan
- The Free and Lite plans use Fast; Auto, Expert, and Apex are on the Plus and Max plans (see Access by plan).
- Auto is the default tier on the Plus and Max plans.
- On the Lite, Plus, and Max plans, 60 Fast messages a day do not use credits.
- If the tier you choose is not included in your plan, a
MODEL_NOT_INCLUDED_IN_PLANerror appears (see Error Messages).
Models behind the tiers
The models behind each tier are listed under Settings > About > Models in use, with their context window, reasoning, supported input types (text, image, audio, video, PDF), and tool-use scores.
When Advanced intelligence is on, MORATUS automatically routes a request to a more advanced model when needed (see Advanced intelligence).
