Chat and Composer
You can work with MORATUS by voice in two ways: dictation turns your speech into text and you send the message yourself; live voice chat is a real-time, two-way conversation with MORATUS.
Microphone permission
- Voice features need microphone permission. The first time, your browser asks for microphone access for moratus.ai; choose Allow.
- If you blocked it, you can turn microphone access back on from the site settings in your browser's address bar.
- Desktop, Mobile In the apps, the operating system asks for permission the first time.
Dictation
Press the microphone icon in the composer and your speech is turned into text. While recording, cancel with the cross or confirm with the check mark on the right; the confirmed text is added to the composer, and you can edit it before sending.
What would you like to work on?
Can you summarize the decisions in the meeting notes as bullet points?
- Turn dictation on or off with Settings > General > Enable dictation.
- Dictation never sends the message on its own; you can review the text before sending.
Live voice chat
When the composer is empty, press the voice button on the right to start a live voice chat. The screen reads I'm listening and the composer lights up; press Live to end the conversation.
Can you remind me of the three key messages for tomorrow morning's presentation?
Sure. First, the new pricing; second, the first results of the SMB pilot; and third, the November launch timeline.
Listening...
- It is a real-time, two-way conversation; the transcript is saved as a chat.
- Quick web searches can be run during the conversation.
- You can mute and unmute the microphone during a session.
- Choose and preview a voice under Settings > Voice (e.g. Warm and soft, Clear and steady, Cheerful and lively, Mature and calm). The model's spoken language can be set separately.
- Voice chat usage is limited by plan; higher plans offer more usage (see Individual plans).
- Mobile Mobile uses the same live voice infrastructure as Web, with an echo-cancelling microphone (see Features).
