MORATUS

Tools and Capabilities

While answering a request, MORATUS calls tools when needed: it searches the web, reads pages, generates files, or fetches data from connected apps. Each tool call is a structured request with a known name and inputs.

  1. The model evaluates the request and calls a tool if needed (e.g. web_search).
  2. The server validates the call and runs it in the matching tool executor.
  3. The result is added to the chat, and the model continues with it.
  4. The loop repeats until the goal is reached. Each step appears as a tool row in the interface.
Can you research the electric vehicle market in Türkiye and prepare a short Word summary?
Sure. I'll scan current sources first, then put the findings into a one-page Word document.
Web search complete web_search · 12 sources
Pages read read_webpage · 6 pages
Document ready create_document · EV market summary.docx
Done. I summarized the market's growth rate, the leading brands, and developments in charging infrastructure on one page; the document is open in the side panel.

Anatomy of a tool call

In the simplified example below, the model calls the web_search tool and the result is added back to the chat. Real calls follow a similar structure; the fields vary by tool.

Long-running jobs

Long-running jobs (the image, video, music, and document engines) run on a durable job queue. Progress is streamed live and picks up where it left off when you reconnect.

  • The server validates every call before running it; calls that fail validation are not run (see Error references).
  • Web tools only reach public addresses; requests to internal network addresses are blocked (see Web research).
  • For the list of available tools, see Tool catalog.
